Following the work done in the Atlantic Axis high speed and in the Madrid – Galicia LAV (La Hiniesta-Perilla de Castro, Porto-Miamán and Miamán-Ponte Ambía subsections), RE-CORTA, Demolición Técnica, S.L. returns to perform drilling works in Ponte Ambía-Taboadela subsection. Vías y Construcciones, S.A. company, belonging to one of the largest construction groups and international services, with over 80 years experience, has awarded RE-CORTA diamond core drilling works in reinforced concrete.

The work’s difficulty was that the holes had to be made with a very small diameter, length proportionally high, complicating the witnesses’ extraction. Special core drills were manufactured expressly for this work. It has contributed to the work carried out which has been satisfactory for the client, and on time.

The subsection Ponte Ambía-Taboadela of 9 km in length, runs through the municipals Baños de Molgas, Xunqueira de Ambía, Paderne de Allariz, Allariz and Taboadela. This subsection tracing includes two viaducts, one on Arroyo dos Muiños, 21 m long and the other on the Arroyo Pazos, with a length of 64 m. In addition, it also highlights the Os Casares tunnel construction, with 3.490 m length. The work has been awarded an amount of over 71 million euros.
